furbabymom
We're going to a family brunch on Saturday and I've been assigned to take soft boiled eggs. I've never soft boiled an egg, though I assume you just cook it for less time than a hard boiled egg? Anyone make these? Any tips? Thanks! Link to comment
Campy
Hard boiled eggs are typically boiled for about 5 - 6 minutes. Soft boiled eggs are SIMMERED, NOT BOILED for 3 - 3 1/2 minutes. You will need to experiment with the time to determine how long to simmer the egg for YOUR desired degree of doneness. Link to comment
furbabymom
Thanks Campy! I wouldn't eat a soft boiled egg (so I wouldn't have a desired doneness) so I guess they're going to have to take them as they get them! Link to comment
