VaMom
We plant potatoes every year and store them in our basement. This year the ones that we have dug are just marble size and very few, I guess because of the drought conditions, anyway I can buy 50lb bags at a decent price from the grocery, will they keep if I put them in the basement. I know that is probably a dumb ?? but we live out of our gardens every year and I have never had to anything like this so i don't know if it will work. Can't live without my taters!! Link to comment
Canned Nerd
I wish I had a basement, but your answer is yes. Here is a reference for you http://www.ehow.com/how_3480_store-potatoes.html Here in Southern California I am forced to 'can' all my potatoes. They are still great that way, but nothing beats fresh. VaMom
Thank you I will start buying this week. Our basement is not much just a dirt basement but it works for my garden. Link to comment
