Amishway Homesteaders
I do this sometimes................ also cook in a pot and when heated up take off stove and wrap in a big towel and set aside. Hours later it is all cooked and still hot. Works great with stews. also after cooking in the crock pot I can also wrap THAT (inside pot only) in a towel and it will stay hot for a few hours. We Had to go away( Emergincy) just as our Dinner in the crock pot was on its last 1/2 hour - so I wrapped it, set it into the towel and left? Hours later we came back to a nice hot meal.
