Happy Groundhog Day

Phil is predicting an early Spring!

Yesterday we didn't get any of the snow they were calling for, but did get the ice. DH stayed home from work yesterday as the roads were just too bad. I'd rather have snow than ice!! I suggested DH make chili, so that kept him busy for most of the day.

When we got up this morning, it was 40 degrees. DH went to work and called to let me know the roads were ok. The temp is supposed to drop later today. It's very WINDY!!! The gusts are near 50 mph. Our power stayed on yesterday. I'm praying it does today, too!!

DH also called the roofing company today and spoke with the owner, again. They finished the majority of the work last week. There are still problems (that they created) that need to be fixed.

GO STEELERS!!

:AmishMichael2: so he saw his shadow?

we were wondering IF they could even find him in all the snow! he,he,he

You'd think he'd have a shadow every year, just from the lights from all the cameras!

Here's Phil's official proclamation:

Phil Says Expect an Early Spring!

Phil's official forecast as read February 2nd, 2011, at sunrise at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, PA:

Here Ye, Hear Ye, Hear Ye

Groundhog Day, February 2, 2011

Punxsutawney Phil was raised from his burrow

By the call of President Bill Deeley.

He greeted his handlers, Ben Hughes and John Griffiths.

After casting an inquisitive eye towards thousands of his faithful followers,

He proclaimed that the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl!

Back to the business at hand...

He surveyed his surroundings carefully and found that there was no shadow around,

So, an early spring it will be.
