TheCG
As far as I can tell, this is a real obituary. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sunherald/obituary.aspx?n=harry-stamps&pid=163538353&fhid=4025#fbLoggedOut He sounds like he was a hoot and had a hoot, and his family is still having a hoot. RIP. Quote Link to comment
mommato3boys
It is a real obit for a real Harry Stamps. This is what his daughter Amanda Lewis had to day http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/03/12/newser-viral-obituary/1981991/ I find this hilarious... Lewis' tribute also notes that Stamps hated daylight saving time, calling it "The Devil's Time," and he died the day before he would have had to spring his clock forward an hour. "This can only be viewed as his final protest," she wrote. Be sure to read the original obit in its entirety. Quote Link to comment
Deerslayer
I wish I could have known him. He sounded like a hoot Quote Link to comment
lumabean
He sounded like such a fun man who loved his life. His outlook seems to have passed along to his daughter too "He wouldn't know what going viral means," says Stamps' daughter, Amanda Lewis, but it "would have excited him to have another illness to lord over folks.
