Guest Guest
I was wondering....I have great blender. What's the difference between that and a food processer? Do I need both? Quote Link to comment
mrszouave
I know i like my food precessor for making dough......you can pulse it so it makes pea size crumbs......can't do that in a blender. WIth the different blades that come with the processor.......you can shread cabbage for cole slaw....carrots for carrot and raison salad....cheese.....chops onions in seconds...stuff like that.......can't do that with a blender. I'm glad i have mine. Quote Link to comment
Deblyn
A blender purees and makes things liquid. A processor, as Debbielee says, chops, shreds,, makes dough, etc. I have both, as they each do their own job in the litchen. If you make soup, then a blender will make the soup really smooth; you can put it through the processor, but it leaves it thicker and with a grainier texture, not so smooth. Hope this helps. Guest Guest
You know, a bread maker is about the only small appliance/kitchen gadget I don't own. Sometimes I think I want one, then I talk myself out of it. There's something about the concept of mixing, kneading and baking all in one, that bothers me. Nana Quote Link to comment
Guest Guest
I have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, too! I love it! Don't you? I just got it before Christmas last year, and I sure enjoy using it....never made bread with it before, though...except banana bread and muffins. We'll see who gets what first! Quote Link to comment
