Mt_Rider
same article as above: The Congressional Baseball Game is scheduled for June 15 at Nationals Park. The game, which has been a tradition since 1909, pits Senate and House members of each party who sport the uniform of their home state. Congressional leaders said the game would go on as planned. Does not seem to be related to international terror...... Seems this terror was our own. MtRider ......have a care on July 4th activities this year....a precaution not related to this ...but just the general state of things. Quote Link to comment
Jeepers
I have never seen a political party be so vindictive, cruel and down right mean over a lost election. Regardless of which side you are on...pull up your big kid panties and move on. 3 Quote Link to comment
Mt_Rider
Sanders responded quickly and correctly. It has been said that although he verbally attacks the other party, that he's known to stay within the realm of decorum. I don't know cuz I don't follow politics that closely. But if so...good for him. Too many folks would have to look up the word 'decorum'. Or 'civilized'. Or "rational". And not just one side of any disagreements. It's truly alarming that the rhetoric has been escalating. Word turns into deed in some cases. ...and "thar be dragons yonder"..... ALL OF US...in our disagreements, no matter how vehement, we must always STRIVE EARNESTLY to be mature, reasonable, and civil. Worded with care! Whether that be personal with family/friends. Or out in our public lives [and Jeepers did NOT throw her warm sweet tea on their floor....and complaining to management IS civil and justified!] Sorry, but that incident does give a good example for plain folks like us who aren't anyone important in politics/global affairs. It starts in each of our homes, work places, committee meetings, school board meetings, with customers or as customers..... Mature and civil behavior and rhetoric begins with all of us! MtRider ....God, let it be so! Edited June 14, 2017 by Mt_Rider smilies not right 1 Quote Link to comment
Shelaughs
This is all just sad. No one deserves to be shot at like this, regardless of beliefs. Quote Link to comment
