I had one that looked like it had been used for everything but a skillet. I use a sander on it to clean off the crud that was caked on. It took me several hours of sanding but I got it clean and use it now. It can be rather messy to clean but worth it to me.

Slow down girl, your making me tired. That is a lot of work you have done and I know that it makes you feel proud of all that hard work, and you should be. My hat is off to ya!

I'm looking at that recipe in the BBB and it says "Pints at 10 lbs., for 1 hour and 15 minutes, quarts at 10 lbs., for 1 hour 30 minutes in a steam pressure canner." This is from the 2009 edition.
I'm afraid it is not processed correctly.

I've got it Mother from the beginning. The Prologue is 138 pages, the Bloopers is 351 pages, and the story is 1,110 pages. I copied the entire page which includes the posters info and signature line. These add a lot to the page count. This count is through today.

Sorry you feel that way Oink, sometimes life gets in the way. Also, when the idea of people writing stories was started, there was no time limit or restrictions on when to post a story or when to finish it. Even well know and respected writers sometimes take many years to finish a story. Granted though they don't publish any of it until it's finished.

I remember 3 years ago I did 60 jars of strawberry jam. I still have quite a bit of it left.

Welcome nini2323a, glad you joined up with us. If you are simply storing the grains and not processing them, you would use an oxygen absorber. You do not process grains in any form of canning when they are put up dry.

Jumping Pages
in Announcements and Help

Am I the only one that has the page(s) jump around when "loading" appears at the top of the screen every 30 seconds? And what is loading? Is it for the shoutbox? Is it for the entire site? It is driving me nuts when I'm making a post and the screen jumps or when I'm inserting a smilie and they disappear or it makes me click the wrong one.
