  1. I like to buy the plastic storage bags that use them. They say "twist tie" instead of "snap and seal" or "zip-lock", usually a gallon size. They're cheaper than the ones that have the easy-seal feature because they are just straight across the top.

I usually find the store name-brand is cheaper. And of course they're in the food storage area with the "Baggies".

And I tend to re-use the ones from other stuff, anyway, and I happen to have a couple wads of the stuck-together twist ties that I'd be happy to mail to you if you want me to. One wad looks like maybe a hundred, and all of them are clean and intact.

Send me a PM (private message) with your info if you want them. :hug3:

  2. Not sure what it is, but I figured I'd tell others who might receive it, too.

I'm not sure how they got my email. Maybe a long, long ago message from *our* Westbrook?

The ISP says one location is Australia, New South Wales, Sydney, and the other ISP connected to it is from Colombia, Antioquia, Medellin.

    Strange times. :sigh:

  3. Yes, this was quite definitely nasty spam. It was from the Ukraine, which is notoriously known for creating havoc and nasty viruses.

It had way too many links, and maybe they thought we'd click to see something "exotic" because it was in French.

  4. I goofed and temporarily "hid" some threads trying to do something. But I'm terribly busy at this time and I won't have time to fix them until tonight.

    I'll explain more later.

Please bear with me till I get it fixed. :grouphug:

  5. Our neighbor further back in the woods has a barn with horses that is between their house and the road. Our house is closer to the road than any of their buildings.

Today she posted pictures on FaceBook of some tracks she found near her barn. She says something tried to get into her barn. It's not clear enough to see much, but she thinks the tracks that she sees are from a bobcat, mountain lion, or other large wild cat.

She has a couple of barn cats that might have been a target. (?)

Our feral cat has had a nice warm loving home with my brother now for several months, and she LOVES being a house cat!

A couple of years ago there was talk of a possible "panther" (?) killing goats several miles away.

I'll be listening at night and looking around more.

Life is never boring around here. :sigh:

  6. We've had a strange Spring. Last week was snow and ice and melted-in-sun- and snow and tiny hail and melt and more snow. In a DAY! :scratchhead: For several days off and on.

And then it started to warm up, and yesterday I found the first Morel mushrooms of the season. :cele: More today, but I left them in place.
