  1. You can keep drains clean and smelling fresh with vinegar to. 1st pour a quart of boiling water down them to soften any gunk. Then put about a 1/2 c baking soda down the drain and top it off with a cup of vinegar. Tighten the stopper(s) and the fizzing will clean them out.

I just did a memory quilt for my father and found that it's remarkably easy...If you have an ink jet printer and know how to print pictures, you can do it! Try using a product called "printed Treasures" (availible on line or at quilt shops...maybe even at Walmart!). It's cloth already prepped for use in your printer.
  6. If your having trouble with a quilt, lots of times you can find a sewing/quilt guild in your area. Ask at your local quilt shops, too. The ladies there are usually wealth of info! Now I gotta pat me on the back..I have a pattern coming out in "quiltmaker" Magazine in a few months. I'm so-o excited!! :rolf:Hhahahahhaahhahah
  7. I actually have a tip for using old drier sheets... If you quilt they work well for machine applique. iron them flat, trace your pattern piece onto them and then layer you fabric on them (wrong side out) and stitch with a small stitch length all the way around it. When you're done, trim close to the stitching line and very carefully cut a slit in the drier sheet so you can turn it right-side out. You can use a tooth pick or bamboo skewer to turn the pointy bits. You'll have neatly turned under edges. Press it and Pin it in place then stitch it down with either a narrow zig-zag or a blanket stitch.
