Just what I was thinking Mt Rider. *I* resisted until there'd been 20 views.

You can see if you can put in a grey water system and run the water from things like the shower and washing machine to keep things watered.

Oh glad to here it's a good story.. I went ahead and got it (who can pass up free).

I noticed a $2 increase on our math workbooks just from last year.

Tin shouldn't be a problem. I have a couple of old bread pans that are tin and while they might rust they don't leave a metallic taste.
I would think unless they're a more expensive pan that they may have had a coating on the metal and that's gone now and it's the base metal (no idea what it is) that's causing the issue.

ack.. I said essential oils.. I meant essential fatty acids

I'm not sure on the ADD.. though a good multi-vitamin is often a good place to start.
On the hair you may need to be sure she's getting good essential oils

My dh's family says that Ellis Island changed their last name (my husband's grandfather).. seems like a lot of the time they spelled names how they thought it should be spelled rather than by asking people how to spell it.

"I was on *AMazon. I wanted to know if you still wanted me to order the canner for you? It's going to be such & such & will be here on *Aug 23rd. Will you have the money then for it? Or should I hold off?"
If she says hold off, YOU say "OK, just let me know when you're ready & I'll order it." That way YOU aren't obligated to order it anytime down the road until she's ready. If she truly can't get it, your hide is OK
This is very nice. Because you can provide exact amount of money and/or shipping and date when it'll be here, it doesn't make you sound weird for asking again with the specific info and it leaves you out of their discussion but also gives her an out if there is a problem.

Schools start up earlier and earlier.. I know some areas are starting in early August.. around here it's still later August but gone are the days when all schools waited until after Labor Day to start.

I was introduced to eating french bread dipped in olive oil and vinegar.. so I've gotten all kinds of vinegar in those little bottles to try.. red wine vinegar, white wine vinegar, rice vinegar, red balsamic vinegar, white balsamic vinegar (this is really good).. but I keep good ol' cider vinegar on hand as a basic vinegar for cleaning or laundry or making sweet and sour sauce etc.
I really like the flavor of red wine in my spaghetti sauce.. and discovered that even if I don't have wine on hand.. a smaller amount of the red wine vinegar will give a lot of the same flavor.
-
When you buy the little bottle of balsamic, odds are very good you'll be able to see several small bottles of white wine vinegar on the shelf

Just the magnesium can control irregular heart beat.. it's also a factor in several of the other things..
Also the Adrenal glands MUST have B-complex and vitamin C to function properly.. and those also make a big difference in things like fatigue.

It's always nice to work with someone. My sister and I did a whole bunch of apples together when she lived nearby.
I've run elderberries through a potato ricer to avoid having to stem them

You're welcome.
I still have small children and when they're on my lap they sometimes push extra buttons so I've figured out a few corrections for what happens. One of the easiest it seems to make happen accidentally is changing the font size.
-
To adjust font back to normal try ctrl +0 (that's zero) made larger to help those having trouble reading small fonts.

Lemon balm is an herb.

Lots of good advice. The only things I can add are..
Use a hair dryer on cool to help get it completely dry without irritating it.
You can make a paste with acidophilus and use that.. same idea as the yogurt.

My mom makes medicinal tea with the dried flowers and berries.. so that works out nicely. The jam is excellent though.

Way to early for harvest here.. we've just gotten things into the ground. But I'm seeing baby peppers and tomatoes!!

I don't know about the clear gel but Pomona Pectin also "keeps indefinitely" and if you buy it in bulk it's MUCH cheaper than the regular pectin you get at the grocery store. http://www.pomonapectin.com

I'd be concerned with them getting really mushy from that long of cook time. French cut will already get more mushy than regular green beans at the green bean time let alone another 25 min.

I lived in Tucson for a while and we're on the dry side of OR.. so still dealing with the "but it's a dry heat" I finally took to answering those people with.. "yes, have you ever lived in a hair dryer?"

I just keep wondering how often it'll core the apple rather than spin the apple.
Fewer trips to the grocery store

I'm always of two minds about things like that.
On the one hand, it would be nice to see how the food would all even out (or not) and what things need to be increased for storage.
But the flip side is that keeping enough (subject to personal whim) food on hand is hard enough without adding in the possibility of using up the stored goods just before something happens and you're caught short.. sure you'd have the money you would have spent that month to catch up.. but if something happened before you got caught up...
