  1. yeah, this was out of the rain gutters over one side door to our hall way in the building! ropes of water coming down. it was incredible.

I think tomorrow has rain potential, not sure about flash flood watch/warning level,no warnings yet about it. 60% rain so it possible some rain.

It did break up some today, not any real rain all day which was fine and less humidity. Most of us stuck with window fans , so lower humidity is mucho bettah!

  2. Was just thinking of DGS sitting on a surf board at some beach in or near Koneohe, with a big trippy birthday cake, probably feeds four persons, very tropical decorating on it. just saw that pic today.. nice to think about with such dark set of storms..... had a really heavy deluge that went on for over 30 minutes early evening.... ropes of water running off the roof... looked like scenes out of the African rain forest or something..... with lightning....

oops, speaking of lightning..... wow, lit up the sky and still took 7 seconds.

  3. Yes, Mt. Rider, they did put them under protection. The Army actually has a program that protects and maintains those finds, it is legit, and approved with the environmental and historical, archaeological organizations and such, a special department specific for Hawaii. There were quite a lot of them, under the shifting sands beach, like you said, some were about a foot long and a few were up to 4-5 long.

  4. :happy0203:Jeepers!!!!!!! woot woot on your grandbaby doing so well on weight gain! Good to hear that!

My grandson, now 13 months is going gangbusters at baby gym, saw a video of him , already on the rings, like guys in olympic gymnastics, ha! ( he did awesome but they should have baby safety harnesses, not how they spotted him.... )

Still, he was having a blast..... one of those teach this kid no fear things??? hey, now... still, it was cute seeing the video of that experience but if I had been there.... oh, one of those " What were you thinking???" questions would have popped out of my mouth on that one..... still... he survived. :tapfoot: DGS was just chortling, as usual.... enjoying the heck out of it. Flynn does have a gusto for life...

    :shakinghead:

The rings were meant for 3 year olds probably..  :o

The rest of the apparatus is just fine for toddlers and such.... they do videos and pictures a lot of that regular activity. He loves going there.

Obviously weather in Hawaii has been nicer this week than here.... I did just see some petroglyphs were just discovered down by a shore line in Hawaii. Not sure what island though... article in science section of Fox news articles online ..... was checking news.

  5. It sounds like this has been a really lousy summer for you to do any gardening at all Mt. Rider... but yes, getting some decent moisture out there is good to help repair overall drought affects and cut fire danger.

Its stormy here, warnings for occasional flash floods of creeks, bridges and such so drivers and any really low sitting dwellings and businesses might need to be prepared, I am ok, its not solid rain up here, this storm system.

Kudos to all in SE US putting up with constant rain..... Miki! I hope local damage is not too bad.

    Stay safe!

:hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil: Rain! for Mt. Rider.... :hapydancsmil::hapydancsmil:

  6. very hot and very humid. uncomfortable... even doesn't get better at night so just waiting for doing certain things for when the weather breaks again.

My DIL is 9 weeks pregnant again. Baby #2 due in March 2017.

  7. Been busy writing. Oh but it's quite a book.. trying to figure out each very complex scene takes hours and days..... it got more complex in these very last pages I'm trying to conclude than the whole book! Well, adding in all the dynamics I did, it is a great example of the human condition... I must say.

But oh the editing and second book....... I now have my life's work, just started....... well...... I am almost 57..... oh life's experiences. Heck, I am having fun. Wow.

Parts make your heart pound, parts will make you laugh and cry for the characters, in the middle of a crazy war on American soil...

( but I know Christy's over in Holland and Germany kicking the ISIS types out of course, ya all know she's a warrior spirit too, too, dontcha? ) Yea, they have their hands full...

I have just pulled off an allied unification between Trump and Putin, in person in this book.....but my fictional ( do they make them like this anymore?) hubby the Commander of the Arkansas Militia currently.... oh, spec ops , CIA extraordinaire....retired, or he thought he was.. For age 50, heck, he takes the cake still.... hey I did behave at first, really! ... six foot five.... serious hunk material , profound sensitive side.... well he can't help it....... i loved making up his character, women drool, but he's mine. Yes, I am single.( I can daydream if I want, lol.)

Actually there is so much to this character and his daughters character ... and I think through how to handle it... every step of the way. Im learning things I never knew!

This book is that 'Letter to my Father' too..... it's awesome. It really is. Yes, its very personal in certain ways so I won't post it in Fireside..... heck, I didn't even know I could write such 'details'.... um.... seriously just surprised myself.

Being Bold.... hmm. I can pat myself on the back. Actually it is fiction but I did use realistic family dynamics, emotional cruelty is one of the most common things one can go through and it often does take decades to overcome. Replacing it with love, support to each other, loyalty, acknowledging gifts and abilities and yes, God is in our home.......and how. I really do think he has a great sense of humor.. and yes, miracles do occur........

I think God gets a kick out of my un-orthodox ways.... so you have been warned. Hey, He made me the way I am, doggone it!

Honestly it also is about obedience to God too.. and sometimes, when you consciously do that , miracles really do occur... and that is also what this book is about.

Have I got you curious yet? I am having so much fun with it....yep its a generational story , it crosses several genres.

  8. wow Sandra, I hope all of you remain safe. i am still in a small town in upstate ny but have truly vicicous predators around me..... immediate neighbors still ... its not been fun. So am writing my novel..... 900 pages before major editing to downsize it..... but had to get it down initially , set up for major sequels but crosses several genres. Brad Thor can eat his heart out.

will be moving to south central nebraska in fall though, will be able to do real gardening, chickens and such... and yard improvements and get finances settled better and be with good friends and try to improve things for myself more easily....

sort of waiting for all this serious civil unrest to just crack open. others who are tired of all the malarkey of it, and locking and loading. it is just a matter of time now, very little time I am thinking at this stage.

I would rather have it hit while its still a good amount of summer left.

  9. Wormie it sounds like the account hacker for the amazon account was a serious dangerous criminal. geez.....

I am very sorry that happened and the one card that got the tickets for Turkey, that one sounds like a wannabe terrorist trying to go swear allegiance to ISis .... Turkey is a gateway to it for volunteers from UK and US .....

    hope you got that cancelled.

    This is seriously scary

and we can no longer pay cash so often.

  10. yeah... I just saw my grandsons 1 year cake.... video. he was so studious licking frosting off his fingers. his mom is doing annual or semi annual audit for base so she has been working late into evening so they just did a little square cake for him, he got to have it to himself.

Little Jason will get there too! Only 3.lbs 6 oz? That is tiny! I would think about 6 pounds at 3 weeks early. My son was six pounds 4 ounces , 3 weeks early. Hes six foot two now... 36 yrs. later..... He's done allright too.

  11. It only got a little stuffy this late afternoon , well , yesterday, the 4th, not bad. Might be a lot hotter tomorrow. If it doesnt rain, might go down to the park in late afternoon for a while. That is when it gets hot inside... tomorrow. mebbe? I know I looked at the forecast but I dont recall it exactly.

It really has not been too bad but hardly any rain yesterday. Im tired of clouds with no real rain. We really need the rain here.

  12. Sounds like a good adventure. No fireworks , they had them on founders day a week ago or so. Glad nobody had them here, today. Miss Macy can't handle it.

I just spent the day like I usually do. It was nice and mild however around here since it was fairly quiet. Enjoyed listening to music and writing. Got through a difficult part to write finally! Phew, mebbe because I had no real noise going on or as much. I am really happy I got that part done and now sailing into the unknown political arena down on the farm, well they showed up....... lol. criminy, how am I going to write it up..... ? :bounce:
