i just got the book yesterday and started reading it. I am a slow reader.i am on page 33 of 1084... this is going to take me a while. so far i like what i have read.

I was my grandmothers frist grandchild too. I was very close to the one. and i miss her a lot. but memories of her and watching the younger ones and seeing some of her actions in them. i sure do pray that you do get to go to the funeral.

reading your post this morning unikemom made me glad that DD and her family are here. They live in Tenn. it is a nice sunny morning here so far. DD and family went over to the lake to finshe their vacation there as they got the place all set up now. It isn't to far from us we will still get to see them often. everyone have a good day and for those in the way of the strom, please take care.

Snowmom, your such a sweetie and a very caring person.

a lot of little things has been happening this last few day around here. Our SIL had lost his dayplanner which had his check book and credit cards in the second day he was here.Plus a lot of information that he needed. the poor guy was worried about it and praying alot to fine it. He and Dd had walked up and down looking for it we torn the place upside down trying ot fine it and then today DH and I where out and we found it. SIL was so relieved. Then my one sister in law is trying to start some trouble up with me again. as to why i have no idea. Her and BIL came by to settle some bussiness with DH; and she had came with him and by the look on her face she was ready to start something. now neither one of them like me they had told enough people and DH how much they hated me.; which by the way is fine by me i like it that way then I don't have to be drag into any of their messes. that was on a saturday. I had told DH that she has something she wants to say to me really bad, and to watch she will fine a way to talk to me Sunday. We both go to the same church. (one of us isn't getting the message) Will Sunday came and sure enough she did say something and it was so funny to me and DD as she said it through clucth teeth. she had passed on so information to me, of a church activite. any ways it will be intresting to see if anything will come of it. sure hope not. today DH and I had a stork of luck we manage to save big on DH med's. now if I could only get this old house cleaned, but i don't think that is possible with DD and her family here and with the goings in and goings out. It will end soon enough so will enjoy them while they are all here.

i have tried it a little.... just don't have the extra $ to really get into it. but have cut up some nice cards and used them. one day maybe i can get more into doing it.

that was neat... watching your baby be a Mom is a whole new world...and i wouldn't change it for anything.

my grandmother use to send us kids outside for at least an hour every day unless the wheather didn't allow it... but she said it was to air us out. I know for me the outdoors is a very calming place for me. i go there when i am upset, sad, tried, anything and i always feel a whole lot better. so glad you found that and was able to make a connection.

WELCOME ... we enjoy greeting new people.... and having an excuse to get into the food.... lets see i got a cheese ball here and some crackers... I bet you have more to share then you think. so please feel free to post.. and again welcome..

the yard which had been a while ... i found a lot of differant plant life...ragweed,pigweed,plantain,sumac.lychnis,bladder campion,daisiesmayweed, daisy fleabane, aster,sweet clover, red clover,yucca,peppergrass,milkweed,queen anne's lace,dandelion,buttercup,mullein,moth mullen,goldrod,curly dock,knapweed, burdock,ladys thumb,pokeweed,sour dock, then i have a grass type that has pussywillow like head, and another plant that has yellow flowers on it that i have been eating all my life and still don't know the name of it. what i am going to try and do now it fine out what i can do with theses weed, eat them, medical uses or just plain use for decoratating.

I have one .. got it from my MIL and just love it. the metal tag says Sellers.
