  1. My Dad was one of 13 children and they were sometimes homeless.

As a adult he worked hard to make sure we always had a roof over our heads and food on the table. He was a picky eater as an adult. We llived on 3 acres or more until I was in high school.

Every year we raised 100 chickens and a beef calf that we split with family. I found out early that you don't name food. Sometimes Mom kept some chickens for eggs.

My Grampa always had a garden that was at least 1 acre every year. I don't think we bought veggies from the store until I was a teen.We pick bluebarries and strawberries every year and my Grandpaernts had a gooseberry bush but the only way Grandma would use the gooseberries was if us kids would pick them. It had thorns.

Chicken Pot Pie ... My Mom made this often

    1 3 1/2 to 4 lb.chicken
4 medium- sized potatoes peeled and cut into chunks
    1 cup chopped carrots
    1/2 cup celery
    1 onion diced
    salt and pepper to taste
    pot pie squares

cook chicken in tow quarts water until it is partly tender
Than add the onion, potatoes, carrots and celery and cook until they and the chicken are completely tender. Remove chicken from bone and set aside.
Bring broth th a boil. Drop pot pie squares into boiling broth and cook 20 minutes or intil tender. Return chicken th broth and serve steaming hot.

    Pot Pie Dough

    2 eggs
    2 cups flour
2 -3 Tablespoons milk or cream.

Break the eggs into the flour. work toghter, adding the milk to make a soft dough. Roll out the dough as thin as possible and cut into 1" x 2" rectangles with a knife . Drop into boiling broth.
Unlike noodles these are not left to dry before being cooked

Japan withdraws support for HPV vaccines due to infertility side effects

Sunday, July 07, 2013 by: Lance Devon
Tags: Gardasil side effect, Japan, infertility

108 (NaturalNews) The government of Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is speaking out about the destructive side effects coming from popular, worldwide-promoted HPV vaccines Gardasil and Cervarix. Gardasil is Merck's opus and Cervarix is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline.

As of today, an estimated 3.28 million Japanese people alone have been inoculated with these HPV vaccinations. So far, 1,968 adverse cases have been presented to the Japanese government, detailing severe medical side effects.

The Japanese people are reporting side effects ranging from "long-term pain and numbness to infertility and paralysis." In the wake of these complaints, the Japanese government has decided to withdraw its support for these widely pushed and controversial HPV inoculations.

Global organizations push vaccinations at all costs Regardless, the World Health Organization stands by the HPV vaccinations efficacy, believing them to be useful tools for "preventing" cervical cancer.

Global pharmaceutical giant Merck isn't listening to the ground reports of the vaccination's awful side effects either, stating in a public decision, "While direct causal relationship between the vaccines and serious symptoms observed after inoculation has not been established at this time...We will continue to collaborate with all stakeholders, including (the health ministry), to monitor and verify safety data toward resumption of active promotion for HPV vaccination as soon as possible."

The government of Japan looking into nearly 2,000 adverse HPV vaccine reactions The HPV vaccinations have not been stalled or suspended in Japan. The government is just not actively promoting the use of them anymore. These HPV vaccines are still available for free to girls provided through subsidies, mandated by law. The only difference now is that Japanese medical institutions must now inform the young girls the government health ministry does not recommend the vaccines any longer.

In hopes of appealing to everybody, VP of the Health Ministry, Mariko Momoi, commented, "The decision (not to recommend the vaccination) does not mean that the vaccine itself is problematic from the viewpoint of safety. By implementing investigations, we want to offer information that can make the people feel more at ease."

Momoi is one of five men on the government task force leading the investigation of the HPV vaccinations. The task force has heard 1,968 adverse effects and are further investigating 43 of the cases. In the months ahead, the government will be forced to decide to continue withdrawing their support or to go ahead and reinstate their recommendation for the vaccines.

The U.S. uses taxpayer dollars to pay for dangerous Gardasil vaccinations Despite mounting evidence of Gardasil dangers, other countries remain under the thumb of Merck's vaccinations spell. For instance, the Unites States avidly recommends that teenage girls be HPV vaccinated, as they promote industry-backed studies that tout the vaccination's "effectiveness." The United States actively uses tax payer dollars to fund federal Vaccines for Children programs, which include the use of Gardasil, provided by the Centers for Disease Control. In fact, 20 states have passed laws that set aside funds for Gardasil education programs and implementation. As governments believe they are promoting general health and wellness, it's important to look at the documented statistics of people experiencing dangerous side effects.

Here is a list of US hospitalization incidences due to HPV vaccinations, provided by SaneVax.org:
    http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com

Merck has a history of corruption A Candadian medical study, conducted by the University of British Columbia's Neural Dynamics Research Group, first reported by the Washington Examiner, included a list of Gardasil side effects that entailed, death, convulsions, paraesthesia, paralysis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, transverse myelitis, facial palsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, anaphylaxis, autoimmune disorders, and deep vein thrombosis," among others.

This isn't the first wave of medical corruption Merck has promoted. Merck is known for falsifying test results for their own mumps vaccines. Two former employees filed a lawsuit in 2010 alleging the company convinced the federal government to purchase hundreds of millions of dollars worth of worthless vaccines. Merck is also known for their drugging of cattle with a recycled anti-partitioning drug called Zilmax. They are most infamously known for their Vioxx scandal from 1999 to 2004, which yielded 38,000 deaths and a massive recall.

So why does anyone, any government, any sane person trust pharmaceutical giants like Merck?

Why is this organization of murderers and thieves still in business?

Why aren't all government withdrawing their support from these dangerous HPV vaccinations like Gardasil?

Why are the true alternatives to preventing cervical and other cancers not discussed?

Why is anything that threatens human fertility widely promoted?

  3. Cat, when I read my Bible I read a chapter in the Old testament, one in the New testament , A chapter in Psalm and one in Proverbs.

My Psalm for the day is Psalm 91.

You are a creative wonderful Mom and Grandma. I find you to be just as caring and encouraging face to face as you are here. your family is blessed indeed to have you.

I think you are a great example of a Proverbs 31 woman.

    Psalm 91:1-16

    English Standard Version (ESV)

    My Refuge and My Fortress

91 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say[a] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
    and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his pinions,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.

9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—
the Most High, who is my refuge[b]
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.
    13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

    14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.
    15 When he calls to me, I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

  4. It was a tough day here. Dh took Son to the funeral of a school mate this morning.

This boy was Son's lifting mate in weight lifting class. We are walking on egg shells with Son tonight. I'm trying to cut him some slack. He is angry and hurting.

Swimming sounds fun but it's chilly here.

  5. My DD1 is home for the weekend and it's clean sheets day. :hapydancsmil:

Now I only need DH to get up.

The bedrooms just need swept and dusted and they are done so while DD1 is out with friends I'm going to declutter the dinning room,.hopfuly I can get DH to help as most of the stuff is his. I have the dryer going and the next load in the washer. It's rainy so I don't think I can use the clothes line today.

My college girl home and clean sheets. Life is good. :happy0203:

What are you doing this weekend?

  6. it was foggy when I wnt to work at 4:30 this morning. The sun quickly burned it off when it came up.

We were running great at work for the frist 3 hours but then we ran into some issues and it ground into another 10 hour day..

I'm hoping to get 4 loads of laundry done before bedtime so I can get ahead for this weekend.I also want to get the bedrooms dusted and swept. Dh started on the livingroom before I got home so that helps.

  7. I got the bedrooms cleaned and all the curtians and bedding washed.

Son wanted to go shooting with his friend and the friend's brother.

Dh's friend and Farmer Friend taught Son how to shoot a gun. Safety is number one. I was leary about 3 teens shooting together but as I watched them I realized all the boys were well taught.

They told each other when they were taking the safety off, when they were about to fire, and when they were finished firing. One boy raised the gun he had up to far in the others direction and even though he had the safety on he was quickly corrected by the other two.

I still have lots of laundry to do and the next thing on the list is decluttering the kitchen.

  8.

There's some in my freezer. DH labeld the freezer bag "Woodland critters".

    :laughkick:

When I saw the cat in the house I went over put the laundry basket in front of the garage door, turned off the garage light and walked away.

I was so freaked out I didn't even rembember to lock the garage door.

  9. Wonderful news,The houes sounds like a great deal.

Yesterday DH's BF came over to hang some blinds for me and to see if he could find what was in the basement. Dh and Son made it home and now we have to find everything DD1 forgot to pack and send it to her. Friend tripped when he was stepping off the porch and hurt his ankle.

    I'm not doing much today.

  10. Son and DH took DD2 to college and they should be back sometime today.
Last night DD2 went to a party so it was just me and shy cat, Sadie the dog at home.

The basement stairs are in the garage and so is the washer and dryer (who in their right mind puts a washer in a garage in Indiana?) :sigh:

I was out in the garage doing some laundry :clothesline: with Sadie. She is old and doesn't hear or see well but she was sniffing around when I heard the basement door open. Our house was a estate sale and the woman passed away at home. We have lived here 21 years and I don't believe in ghost. The door doesn't latch but it is heavy enough something bigger than a mouse had to open it. Something about the size of a small shy cat.

I mumbling about having to go find a shy cat that is good at hiding in a basement full of hiding places but first I needed some more clothes to fill the washer. I walked in the house to get another basket full of clothes when I saw Samara sitting in the dinning room licking her paw.:scratchhead::shakinghead::huh::blink::o

So what's in the basement? :runcirclsmiley2::sSig_help2::hidingsmile:

Sadie wanted to go see but I think I'll wait until DH gets home.

  11. Her Dad and Brother took her. I stayed with DD2.

DD2 is a high school freshman and started school last week. Son we put in the school system south of us. It's a smaller school system that's more farm oriented which he loves. He starts Monday.

I know she will do well and has to growup and leave sometime.

dogmom4, some of her freinds reproduced and never moved out.

I'll take her going to college even if it's 6 hours away.

  12. My family and I volunteer serving coffee at church once a month. Making coffee for 600 people can be fun. I feel good that I'm giving back to the church.

The person in charge of children's church is always looking for volunteers. She is looking to fill positions for the fall/winter.
When my kids were that age I did help out in children's church. I've also done Wednesday nights.
    I've done my time.

For the last few weeks a voice in my mind has been prompting me to do something in children's church. I waited hoping all the jobs would be filled because I didn't really want to do it. The voice didn't go away.

So I started to look at what jobs they needed done.

I did not want to be a teacher/assistant. I thought about the nursery, babies are fun but it didn't feel right.
The final week to sign up only 3 things were left.
Working the check in counter, sound tech and special friend.

Special friends deal one on one with kids that have something difficult going on in their life and need some extra attention .
The voice said that's the one. Oh no! I don't want to do that I argued. They can be hard to deal with.

I sent a message to the director that I would be happy to work the sign in desk but somehow it came out " sign me up to be the special friend."

But that's OK. I feel at peace that I made the right decision.

The Lead Vaccine Developer Comes Clean So She Can “Sleep At Night” – 44 girls are officially known to have died from these vaccines
    August 7, 2013 at 10:34 pm

    by Sarah Cain – SouthWeb.org

Dr. Diane Harper was the lead researcher in the development of the human papilloma virus vaccines, Gardasil and Cervarix. She is the latest to come forward and question the safety and effectiveness of these vaccines.

She made the surprising announcement at the 4th International Public Conference on Vaccination, which took place in Reston, Virginia on Oct. 2nd through 4th, 2009.

Her speech was supposed to promote the Gardasil and Cervarix vaccines, but she instead turned on her corporate bosses in a very public way. When questioned about the presentation, audience members remarked that they came away feeling that the vaccines should not be used.

“I came away from the talk with the perception that the risk of adverse side effects is so much greater than the risk of cervical cancer, I couldn’t help but question why we need the vaccine at all.” – Joan Robinson

Dr. Harper explained in her presentation that the cervical cancer risk in the U.S. is already extremely low, and that vaccinations are unlikely to have any effect upon the rate of cervical cancer in the United States. In fact, 70% of all H.P.V. infections resolve themselves without treatment in a year, and the number rises to well over 90% in two years. Harper also mentioned the safety angle.

All trials of the vaccines were done on children aged 15 and above, despite them currently being marketed for 9-year-olds. So far, 15,037 girls have reported adverse side effects from Gardasil alone to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (V.A.E.R.S.), and this number only reflects parents who underwent the hurdles required for reporting adverse reactions.

At the time of writing, 44 girls are officially known to have died from these vaccines. The reported side effects include Guillian Barré Syndrome (paralysis lasting for years, or permanently — sometimes eventually causing suffocation), lupus, seizures, blood clots, and brain inflammation. Parents are usually not made aware of these risks.

Dr. Harper, the vaccine developer, claimed that she was speaking out, so that she might finally be able to sleep at night.

“About eight in every ten women who have been sexually active will have H.P.V. at some stage of their life. Normally there are no symptoms, and in 98 per cent of cases it clears itself. But in those cases where it doesn’t, and isn’t treated, it can lead to pre-cancerous cells which may develop into cervical cancer.” – Dr. Diane Harper

One must understand how the establishment’s word games are played to truly understand the meaning of the above quote, and one needs to understand its unique version of “science”.

When they report that untreated cases “can” lead to something that “may” lead to cervical cancer, it really means that the relationship is merely a hypothetical conjecture that is profitable if people actually believe it. In other words, there is no demonstrated relationship between the condition being vaccinated for and the rare cancers that the vaccine might prevent, but it is marketed to do that nonetheless.

In fact, there is no actual evidence that the vaccine can prevent any cancer. From the manufacturers own admissions, the vaccine only works on 4 strains out of 40 for a specific venereal disease that dies on its own in a relatively short period, so the chance of it actually helping an individual is about about the same as the chance of him being struck by a meteorite.

Why do nine-year-old girls need vaccinations for extremely rare and symptom-less venereal diseases that the immune system usually kills anyway?
