Kygal
for sore throats and cough i boil fresh crushed ginger with water and honey to make a cough syrop. i make it strong, so i use about an inch of ginger root to 1.5 cups of water and a generous couple of table spoons of honey. it is also very good for morning sickness as well. provided ginger does not make you queasy...lol pregnancy does wierd things to a girl:P hope she feels better soon. gardnmom
Elderberry juice or syrup. Raw Honey is a natural antibiotic and also coats the throat to help with coughing. Heating kills the antibiotic properties. Ginger is also very good put it in some tea. Link to comment

gardnmom
Here is must be pasturized to be sold in the store so it is necessary for me to buy it at the farmers market in order to get it raw. Not sure if this is nation wide. Honey is the best sweetner unless you have diabeties then it must be limited and the use of Stevia comes in to play. Link to comment
