Kygal Posted September 26, 2005 Share Posted September 26, 2005 when canning sauces do i can it WITH the meat, or with out? for example. i want to make spaghetti sauce. i always cook it with beef, do i can it with or without the beef, why or why not or what about chili and ahicken? someone said something on the other thread about canning meat raw. I have plain marinara sauce, and I recently canned chili with meat and made split pea soup with ham that I canned. Just remember when you can meat, even if it is in a spaghetti sauce, to follow the canning times for that particular meat. Good luck! Link to comment
