First time canning

Today I canned 4 quarts of Sticky chicken. My first time canning anything except jelly. It was a little scary, kept thinking I might explode the canner or something, but it all went well. Next up - tomato soup!

 

Thanks to all the experienced canners who post so much great info and encouragement.

isn't it exciting! ping.. pang... pop! the sound of those jars sealing!

 

hint... if you have hard water and your jars get a little white from the mineral deposits.. add a little vinegar to the water.
