I know she has been gathering supplies, getting ready to begin her home canning, so it brings great pleasure to launch her off into a new arena... And she has memories of seeing her Mum, my grandmother, making jam and bottling fruit standing at a wood stove in the ashes of the old home with an umbrella to protect her from the rain! They were living in a tent while a new home was being built, the wood stove was all that was left after a housefire and Gran had had enough and decided to bottle some fruit! So with a heritage like that - why didn't I learn? Whatever the reason, I intend to make up for it! Thanks again Darlene, You have a big heart and a generous spirit. Sue Link to comment
