mistylady
I have a recipe that looks really easy! Its for sugar cookies and calls for "vanilla". Is that vanilla extract like I use in chocolate chip cookies? Or do I need to put it on my shopping list? Thank you! Link to comment
UrbanFool
It's vanilla extract unless it specifically states "beans". Link to comment

Vic303
I confess--I find there is little difference to my palate anyway, between pure vanilla extract, and the imitation vanilla. Call me a heathen if you will, but I find the price to be far better on the imitation too! Link to comment

I remember last year (or so) when there was that huge vanilla shortage I payed that much for a 6 oz bottle. Link to comment
