thanks for the heads up snowmom wish it was an option for me but i don't have a credit card and thay require one to set up the trial period , if you have access to any of the LDS church family history centers you can access ancestry through them as well for anyone else in the same position as me.

I'm not sure if it will work or not, but I've used those 'credit card' gift cards to order things online where I wasn't too sure about the company I was ordering from, and since I only have one credit card don't want to let my number out much. It might be possible to use one of those to temporarily set up an account.
