Potato Soup Mix from storage....

Recommended Posts

I am on a Yahoo group and someone posted this recipe and I thought 'how perfect for storage!' Enjoy! I am going to make some tonight, I will tell you how it turns out.

Potato Soup Mix

1-3/4 c. instant mashed potatoes or dried potatoes

1-1/2 cups dry milk

2 T. instant chicken boullion or 6 cubes of boullion

2 t. dried minced or dried onion--Chives would also be okay

1 t. dried parsley

1/4 t. ground white pepper

1/4 t. dried thyme

1/8 t. turmeric

1-1/2 t. seasoning salt

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Makes 6 servings.

Put contents in 1 quart canning jars to store.

An alternative storage method is to dry pack with dessicant in a conveniant size

resealable plastic bag.

To serve: place 1/2 c. mix in bowl. Add 1 c. boiling water. Stir.
