YYY
Hi Everybody, Yesterday I found 5 colorful canning jars. Four were turquoise and one was dark brown. Do the colors have any significance? Each jar had numbers/letters/symbols on the bottom. One turquoise pint jar is a “Ball Perfect Mason” jar #10 The other turquoise pint jar is an “Atlas Strong Shoulders” jar #8 The 2 turquoise quart sized jars are also “Ball Perfect Mason” #’s 2 and 7 The dark brown quart sized jar is a LongLife Wide Mouth. The bottom has numbers, a symbol and a letter on 3 lines: Line 1: 77 Line 2: __ __ E ( I can not figure out how to put in the 2 symbols on this line, so I’ll describe them) The degree symbol as in 360 degrees – then what looks like a wish bone – then a capital letter E Line 3: 4A Does anyone know what the colors and the numbers/letter/symbol mean? Thanks for any help. YYY Link to comment
Jewlzm
Might I suggest you get whats called "Red book 9" Its a guide for antique canning jars. I would love to see pictures of these jars if you can swing it. Normally the numbers are leads as to manufacturer and locations and what year they were manufactured. Link to comment
