FastPitch13
I got a Presto Pressure Canner and Cooker for my bday. I however am concerned because there is no gauge? Just the weighted 5-10-15 jiggly. How do I know if it's at the right pressure with no gauge? I've tried Presto's site and found nothing. Link to comment
ArmyOfFive4God
You have to wait til it (weight) "rocks gently" before setting your timer. Once it is rocking gently, it is at pressure & you can start your timer. Link to comment
Violet
http://www.uga.edu/nchfp/publications/uga/...ss_canners.html That is a good link to help you out. Also, be sure to vent the canner for a full 10 min. before the weight goes on. Otherwise it will not register correctly and your food will not be safe. Link to comment
ArmyOfFive4God
Read the manual that came with it. I have a presto as well. It will tell you how long to do everything. Link to comment
