moonstar Posted January 30, 2008 Share Posted January 30, 2008 Easy Potato Bread 1/4 cup instant potato flakes 3/4 cup milk 3/8 cup water 3 cups bread flour 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/2 tbs butter or margarine 1 1/2 tbs sugar 2 tsp dry active yeast place all ingredients in bread pan, select light crust, white bread settings, 1 1/2 lb loaf. remove when done and cool before slicing. HEAVENLY WHOLE WHEAT BREAD 1 1/2 pound loaf 1 1/8 cup water 2 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup bread flour 1 1/2 tsp salt 4 tbs butter or margarine 2 tbs sugar 1/4 cup instant potato flakes 1 1/2 tsp dry active yeast place all ingredients in bread pan, select light crust, wheat, 1 1/2 lb loaf, remove from pan and cool before slicing. I just use 3 cups of wheat flour, and it turns out great JALAPENO CHEESE BREAD 1 1/2 pound loaf 3/4 cup sour cream 1/8 cup water 1 egg 3 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp salt 2 tbs sugar 1/4 tsp baking soda 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese 3 tbs seeded and chopped fresh jalapeno or canned diced jalepeno 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast place all ingredients in pan, select light crust setting, white bread, 1 1/2 lb pan. cool thouroughly before slicing. These have worked well for me, it takes so little time to have that fresh bread, no comparison to store bought. Link to comment

moonstar Posted January 31, 2008 Author Share Posted January 31, 2008 Can you turn the crust setting to light? You can change the crust control on mine, light, medium, dark, I usually use the light, and it is fine. I take it out as soon as it is ready. Link to comment
