Thunderstorm Snow

It doesn't happen often. But today we are getting a thunderstorm with our snow. There's lightning, thunder, and snow. Normally I like to go out in the snow, while it is snowing. Snow still brings out the little kid in me, the desire to play in the snow, to throw a snowball for the dog (or at the dog - one of our dogs loves that sort of play also - or, at Cowboy ). Today, however, we are being treated to the sort of weather that makes one want to lay low and avoid being a lightning rod. It sure is pretty, though, that falling snow, even when lit up by lightning flashes!

It was beautiful here too Cowgirl, but like you, I stayed inside to watch it today. That lightening and tunuder amongst the snow was sort of spooky. Stopped now but going to give us freezing rain they say. Blah.

 

Thankfully, Dh and DB got our woodstove instaled in the living room and a nice crackling fire burning it it and I'm going to go snuggle up to it with a good book
