Guest Guest
I made this over the weekend, and it got rave reviews from Caveman, who doesn't really like bread. Anyway, it was so easy, and very good. I doubled the cherry juice, as that's what I got from the jar, and didn't want to waste it. Just made the bread a little more moist. I also cut the sugar by 1/4 C and didn't miss it. MARISCHINO CHERRY LOAF 2 cup flour 1 cup white sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice 3/4 cup milk 3 Tbsp. oil 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring 1 cup maraschino cherries 1/2 cup nuts (optional) Put dry ingredients in bowl; beat in eggs, milk, juice and oil and flavoring. Beat until smooth. Stir in cherries (cut in half) and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Quote Link to comment
