CrabGrassAcres
Pluck the fresh leaves and chew (swallow the juice, spit the pulp out) or make a tea. Dry some to use during winter. Take it 4 or 5 times a day till all the symptoms are gone plus a day. It eases the pain and is an antibacterial that only works on the urinary tract. You should not take cranberry with it since it only works if the urine is alkaline. An infection makes the urine alkaline, BTW. Link to comment
Ambergris
Cranberry is a better preventative than treatment. It reduces the ability of certain bacteria to adhere to the wall of the bladder. Sometimes the store has powdered cranberry capsules on clearance; those are worth getting. I like to take three or four a week, except when I'm eating cranberries themselves. Link to comment
