YYY
Hi Everybody, I thought I’d pass on something to you. I have a FoodSaver that I use mainly for sealing DRY stuff up in mason jars. After looking all over for a while, I finally found the jar sealers at Bed, Bath and Beyond last fall. At that time I purchased both the regular mouth and the wide mouth sealers. Only the wide mouth sealer came with a hose included. In the interest of having extras of everything I consider important, I decided to buy 2 extra jar sealers (one regular and one wide mouth). What I found out is that even though the wide mouth sealer is shown with the hose on their internet site, the hose no longer comes with the sealer. ( http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.as...-1&SKU=12479247 ) I looked on the FoodSaver site and the hose is not shown with the jar sealers anymore. (http://www.foodsaver.com/ProductDetails.aspx?productid=2496 ) In fact I only saw the hoses attached to their cannisters. Anyway, if you love sealing DRY stuff in mason jars like I do, be on the look out for the hoses at yard sales and thrift stores. A couple of months ago, I found 2 new ones at a thrift store still in the plastic inside a FoodSaver cannister - also new. I’ve never seen the individual hoses in any store or even on the internet. I just googled and found the following: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...27034341AAlQaHI about buying the hoses. (see the last entry) Just thought some of you would like to know.
