Melissa
Or whatever you call the garbage-picker-uppers. Take them a bag of cookies for picking up your trash! We put out a ton trash today since cleaned out the garage. I felt bad about it since they always do such a good job. They came early so I didn't have time to leave them down by the road. I drove down there, gave them the cookies, thanked them for a good job, and blames Eddie for the mess! They looked at me like I'd lost my mind! Link to comment
serendipity
lol, we have done this too, mostly out of guilt for the big mess the bears would make out of the garbage cans on garbage day, up and down the road. The trash company had it in their contract that the residents were NOT responsible for messes made by bears knocking over cans during the night, so the poor guys always had a tough job on their hands. They loved the goodies we gave them though! Link to comment
Amishway Homesteaders
Good for you ! 1 random act of kindness will go a long way in todays world. We give our guys 'treats' every now and then too. From candy to treats at Holiday time to stuff from the garden when we have extra. and Let me tell you - they will remember it Link to comment
Becca_Anne
I'm sure they were surprised! I doubt many people do that these days! What a nice thing to do Link to comment
