sassenach
I had my forearm outer side touch the hot coffee pot on the stove the other day. I let out the water from the blister. Do I leave the separated blister skin on my arm? Should I remove it and then put antibiotic on it and dressing? Its about nickel sized, not infected, but concerned it could become so and not sure about the obviously dead burned layer on top of the burned spot. Any suggestions? Link to comment
Peg
Personally, I pop the blister, but most "medical pros" tell you not to. Since the water is out I would say just leave the skin alone for a few days. The obviously dead skin could be removed (GENTLY). Leave the area uncovered and watch for signs of infection. Keep in mind, the spot might be sensitive to temp. so be careful. Good Luck Peg Link to comment
Peg
P.S. Aloe may help it feel a little better. Link to comment
