moldy
Calzones 1 tblsp dry yeast 1 tblsp sugar 1 cup warm water (temp for baby bath) 2 tblsp oil 1 tsp salt 2 ¾ to 3 ¼ cups flour Dissolve yeast and sugar in water. Let set a few minutes until foamy. Add oil, salt and flour. Knead 5 minutes. Let set 5 minutes to rest. divide dough into 6 pieces and roll out each in to a circle (about the size of a saucer). Top half with filling of choice, keeping back from edges so it will seal. Fold other half over filling and pinch edges together or seal with fork. Poke a couple steam holes in each one and bake at 375* for 20 minutes or until light brown. Fillings: Mini-meatballs, mozzarella, and spaghetti sauce (leftover??) Breaded chicken, mozzarella, and spaghetti sauce Ham, cheddar cheese, and cubed cooked potatoes Turkey, Swiss cheese, and broccoli (drain it really well) Pepperoni and cheese (or other pizza fixings) Taco meat, cheese, and salsa Scrambled eggs, bacon or ham, cheese Use your imagination. Pie filling would work well – sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before baking. These are great as a way of using up leftovers. Link to comment

Aint2nuts
You want to know what is even better? (and more fattening) Take the dough and fill it with everything but the sauce. Close it tight (make a half circle). Press the edges together. Don't vent. Dump into a vat of hot oil until golden brown on each side. Pull out, drain on paper towels. Put onto large plate (the thing will have grown A LOT in size) Put sauce over it. ENJOY! Link to comment
