German Gulash

1 1/2 pounds lean stew meat

1/2 teaspoon salt, pepper, paprika, parsley

1 large onion

2 cups mushroom

1 cup white flour

1 tablespoon Crisco

3 cups water or beef Bouillon

 

 

Cut onion fine, put in hot Crisco oil, fry golden brown. Then add meat, salt, pepper, paprika, parsley and fry it until brown. Add water or beef Bouillon. Simmer until meat is tender. Add mushroom and make white flour sauce for gravy. Taste for flavor. Serve with German dumplings or potatoes.
