brendajo
I know ham can be canned but what about spiral sliced honey baked ham?Could I just heat it,place slices in the jar and pressure can it? I don't like the way it tastes after it has been frozen. Link to comment
Canned Nerd
I haven't tried it for honey baked hams, but you may not like the taste from canning it either. If you decide to do it, you must also add liquid, either boiling water or a broth. Freezing is still the best option, but you need to do it in vacuum sealed bags else it gets freezer burn and picks up the odors of the freezer, which is what you may be experiencing. All my hams are sliced in to ham steaks or deli-thin slices and frozen with no detriment in taste. Link to comment
