When making catsup from tomato powder

it is a good idea to make sure you put the tomato powder in the dish with the vinegar and seasonings and not in the dish with the egg whites you were planning to use for cookies! LOL

 

It won't mix right and will taste funky.

Ketchup cookies....hmm. It seems to me there is a recipe for tomato soup in cake, but never heard of a tomato cookie. Must search!

Stephanie, just mix sugar, vinegar, salt, red pepper, onion powder and tomato powder till you like the taste. If it is too vinegary add a little water. I'm not big on measuring, I'm afraid. I start with vinegar and sugar and add the tomato powder, then salt, pepper and onion powder to taste. I adjust the amounts as I go. Don't start with too much of anything so you don't end up with too much extra. Of course with a crowd at the table you need more than the two of us do.
