Canning classes?

I have been contacted by my local community college to teach people how to can and preserve their food, I was wondering what classes someone has to go through to be able to teach people how to can? Currently they are only looking to gather local interest, but if this turns into something, I need to be prepared.

 

I am really excited about this because when I started I had no local resources.

Here we are offering six lessons, each approx. six hours long, teaching food preservation methods. This is training to become Master Food Preservers/Food Safety Advisors.

Contact your local county extension office to see if they offer these.
