Food Saver Sping Sale

I received an email this morning from the FoodSaver website. They have their $99.99 machine on sale for $46.99. The deal includes a few bags and some rolls but not the jar sealers but is still an excellent price. I couldn't find any mention of it when I went directly to the website so I'm assuming you have to use the email link to get the deal. Does anyone know if mylar bags can be used with a foodsaver?

Just today I have been using mylar bags with my Foodsaver. It will seal them, but not suck the air out. I use oxygen absorbers with it. So far, so good.
