Jori
I think it's going to be a growing trend for companies to go gluten free. I have a friend who has gone gluten free for health reasons. DD and I (was still nursing) had to go gluten & dairy free for 2 weeks when she was 8 months old because they were trying to figure out what was wrong with her. It wasn't easy - McDonalds frech fries are gluten free.... Link to comment
nmchick
Actually, McDonalds french fries contain both wheat and milk. From http://nutrition.mcdonalds.com/nutritionex...redients.html#1 French Fries: Potatoes, vegetable oil (canola oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor [wheat and milk derivatives]*, citric acid [preservative]), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain color), salt. Prepared in vegetable oil ((may contain one of the following: Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness), dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent). CONTAINS: WHEAT AND MILK *(Natural beef flavor contains hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk as starting ingredients). Link to comment
