bluegrassmom
I have some home canned food that dates back to 2006. Some veggies, but several jars of chicken, broth, beef, venison, and some stews. Can I still trust it after this long? Link to comment
Violet
As long as they were canned properly at first, then yes. It may be a matter of some loss of quality, but not safety. You will of course, check for any signs of spoilage or if they seem "off". I am still using tomatoes from a few years back. Link to comment
Crazy4Canning
I agree - but eat them up this year to rotate food in your pantry. Link to comment
bluegrassmom
Thanks ~ they still look just fine, no discoloration and the seal is still good. I"ll get these rotated out starting this week. Link to comment
