First long ride on the Vrex

First long ride on the Vrex Well with a lovely change in weather to something less than eleventy-billion degrees farenheit, and it being a long weekend, I got a nice ride in today! I did have to battle 20+mph winds on half the course, and I also missed my turnoff, thus adding about 10+mi to my total distance.

 

I have been riding in town, for about 70min, and 13mi, 3x a week, but this was my first Vrex county road ride. 33.1miles, in 3:30hrs. Temps in the 70's....

 

I didn't probably drink as much as I should have, but I got thru about 40-50oz. I used 2 Nuun lemon lime tabs in the bladder and they were decent. One Zone Perfect bar for a snack. I wasn't hungry, but on the last leg, back into the wind, I was one tired rider! At times I was amazed I kept the bike upright, I was going so slow...

 

The best part?? I don't HURT!!!!
