Amishway Homesteaders
Getting near the end of the garden season here (had our killing frost) and I am gathering the last of the herbs. Man do I have a lot to gather! so I am hanging in cellar to dry. have some hanging in kitch - boy does that make the Kitchen smell good. And Have 5 trays going in the Dehydrater with chive, parley and 'tea' leaves. But I was wondering what was is the best for flavor retention? Link to comment
etp777
I tend to forget to do it and half the time let them dry on the stem outside. But I've always been happy with results from my dehydrator. May actually do that this weekend. Link to comment

It doesn't take long, about 5 minutes to set up - and then about 5 minutes to pack away after drying time. and the house will smell good for the rest of the day. LOL Link to comment
