drying herbs

Getting near the end of the garden season here (had our killing frost) and I am gathering the last of the herbs.

Man do I have a lot to gather!

so I am hanging in cellar to dry.

have some hanging in kitch - boy does that make the Kitchen smell good.

And

Have 5 trays going in the Dehydrater with chive, parley and 'tea' leaves.

 

But I was wondering what was is the best for flavor retention? :shrug:

I tend to forget to do it and half the time let them dry on the stem outside. :P

 

But I've always been happy with results from my dehydrator. May actually do that this weekend.

DO IT!

make a plan to do it and come winter (or whatever) you will be glad you did.

It doesn't take long, about 5 minutes to set up - and then about 5 minutes to pack away after drying time.

and the house will smell good for the rest of the day. LOL
