Jeepers Posted September 19, 2012 Share Posted September 19, 2012 I canned pears today. I bought a peck and that turned out to be 35 pears. The peck of pears filled exactly 21 1/2 pint jars. I made a light syrup and only had 1/4 cup left over. They were so ripe a sharp knife slid through the skins like butter. They were so easy to do and look so nice I may buy another peck.
