Harbor Freight Tools recalling 1.1 million knives due to laceration hazard

The recall involves Gordon folding knives sold at Harbor Freight Tools stores nationwide, via telephone, and online from July 2008 through July 2019 for $5.

Anyone with the affected products is asked to stop use and return them to a Harbor Freight Tools store for a refund or store gift card.

In our current state of wimpy people    :whistling:  .....I had to go check the article.  Had to see if folks were suing Harbor Freight cuz the knives "cut things".

No...it's a real concern:

" the locking mechanism on the knives can fail to engage on extension of the blade, posing a laceration hazard. "

Truly, if you're expecting a "lock-back" knife and it periodically turns into a "slip joint"  [ a blade that does not lock]  ..well YEAH, that wouldn't be good.
