angelbaby0930
Did you lose info, Theyd? I still have the zip disk, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or what's up with it. I put it in the external zip drive, and ...nothing. I have another gen program, courtesy of Sis-in-NC, and I've begun to type in stuff, but I am still hoping to be able to get at my original file. Some of that info I collected years ago, when my Dad was still around to help. Which makes it even more special to me. Alie Jo, sympathizing... Link to comment
angelbaby0930
Apparently the zip drive won't read the disk. I'm not sure why not. Let me know when you and he are ready, and what other info you may need, to figure out the problem... TIA, Alie Jo, hopeful Link to comment

logcabinmama
I hope this will help you, DS asked if you have the program you used before. Such as, if you were using Family Tree Maker, are you using that one now???? Or are you using a different program now??? You have to have the same kind of program as you were using before. If you had the Family Tree Maker, it wouldn't matter if you have a newer version, but you would have to have Family Tree Maker. I hope this will help. If not, plesase let me know and I'll ask him if he has another idea. Link to comment
angelbaby0930
The program I used before was Sierra Grand Suite. Not the same program I am using now, which is a simplified version of Family Treemaker. Yes, I still have Grand Suite, just not where I can lay hands on it at the moment. Alie Jo Link to comment
