Homesteader
A neighbor was having a bbq tonight and I didn't want to go. I had promised her I would be there though. I told DH that I would at least make an appearance but to be alert for my signal to go home. It ended up being a nice pleasant evening. No screaming bratty kids(normal active kids but not brats), no one was drinking alcohol, the food was all good and everyone was polite. One fellow even brought his guitar and sang for about an hour. Nice music, no amps or rap. He even sang some gospel songs and people sang along. No preachin' just natural feelings. Even the weather co-operated. It was cool and breezy with no skeeters. It's evenings like this that make up for all the days when life drives you crazy. Link to comment

redhenfarm
I'm glad it turned out well and you had a good time. It's good to have those "signals" and good when you don't have to use them. Jan Link to comment

Guest Guest
That happened to me today. I went to a friend's house that I really didn't want to go to, but once there, we really had a blast. I'm glad you had a good time! Link to comment
logcabinmama
See, sometimes it pays to go even when you don't want to. Link to comment
