CoC meeting was at a restaurant mom loves to go to every time I visit. However, the speaker…he talked for 2 hours….about the shelters, they are building/fixing/and restoring, for homeless people, “migrants”, veterans, women, children, etc. including saying he is a professional begged for $$$. In the past 5 or 6 years, the Woman’s Dept, of the CoC, has visited several of those facilities and donated a LOT of time, donations and $$$. They gave him another check today.
2 groups of over 600 “migrants” stormed, broke down the fences, and trampled the Ntl. Guard and BP officers yesterday & today…videos from both sides of the border hit the net & news.
Sorry, I have no compassion for them. May God forgive me. They are not good people. Drugs, cartels, and terrorist…. Yes, I completely understand the “families” fleeing the “hard” lifestyle in their countries, however, if they really cared, they could change their own countries, instead of running away. Getting free housing, debit cards with $5,000, free transportation anywhere they want to go in the USA.
We are having trouble of gangs, breaking into homes, robbing, killing people, stealing cars and anything of value they can find. Going into stores, filling their carts and walking out without paying. And NO ONE is trying to stop them. It’s sickening.
I worked hard, years of having nothing, barely even a meal a day to get where we are today…..
Forgive my rant, my anger, and furiousness, from what I am seeing first hand. They are welcome, IMHO, ONLY if they did it legally! Even the legal “migrants” are upset.

Euphrasyne, that’s the one I got. Works amazingly efficiently and with less heat than the oven.

Is it a real place or just your vision?
Lake Havasu City, from their front porch. The rendition removed, houses, cars, telephone poles, etc. I hope they don’t mind, I wasn’t spending hours upon hours putting electrical lines, satellite dishes, and the rest of the ‘noise’ in the painting. I used their original photo for the sky, which they definitely wanted, then, used another photograph, taken about the same time of day, at a slightly different angle, 3 steps further out, on their porch, to capture a ‘glimpse’ of the lake.I touched it up this morning. Stepping back from it, I noticed a couple things. Going to get a frame today, to get it off my art desk, MIL needs to use that table, when she gets here next week.

What I’m seeing people saying, Winchester took a direct hit.
QuoteThere was a lot of damage around Northridge School campus on my way in this morning. A large agriculture barn was ripped down and debris strewn all across the trailer dealer and school campus.
Saw tons of trees down at 37/605 and 3 is still closed just south of Sunbury. I was in downtown Sunbury when it passed through and it was short but violent, seems the center went more over Galena. Damage path seems to be long but very narrow, thankfully.
Edit: The line from Galena > Northridge puts the path right thru the egg farm, which seems to be a tornado magnet.- 1

IDK which time we are on, just that it never changes. I love the spring and summer, because it gets light early. Spring is around 6 am, summer 4:30-5 am. Evenings come around 7-8 pm. A lot of time for me to work outside. Fall & winter, daylight is only from 7am- 6ish pm.
Yeah, I’ve always been different….

Understandable, Necie.
From what I “heard”, TPTB are supposed to get rid of the time change next year.

5 am and all is well....
We never change our time. I guess that's why it is hard for me to keep up with the changes.

I think I will do the update between 7-9am MST...tomorrow morning. Every time I have come on to do it today, there have been several users logged in. I would hate it, if I deleted a post, because, I did the update while you were typing your posts. BTDT, to myself!

@Midnightmom, if’n you are interested, I can send you some carrot seeds, heirloom non GMO…you might get orange or yellow but they would grow in your garden…. PM me if’n you are interested. Your pot size looks like it could handle, at least, a dozen or two. Onions? Got them too. From seeds, you’ll get chives the first year. Tasty.
I can’t plant this year, it’s my lands Sabbath. So I’ve been throwing all my ‘mulch’ bin greens in my garden space. Good grief I have potatoes sprouting in several places. A dozen onions, I didn’t plant, one beet is loving it, and one carrot. Oh, and the pumpkin seeds, from the pumpkin Twilight gave me, I buried, they sprouted in December and died, are sprouting again.
Spice garden is flourishing, cayenne is producing and I am picking, drying, & grinding it up. Mexican, Greek and Italian oregano are flourishing. Garden & English thyme are beginning to grow. Celery re-seeded itself, and is providing several meals. (It was store bought, core in a glass of water, rooted, planted it, it seeded and spread. ). Leftover green onions, DH got for his oriental soup are growing. And a volunteer tomatillo is vining rather well.
Yes, the garlic chive is a bear to keep contained in the center of the spice garden , but I use the escapees for dinner.
@Christy, her camomile is sprouting everywhere, in the garden, in the yard, around the edges, absolutely beautiful, smells fantastic and I love the tea.

Lol, Jeepers. After MIL called, I told DH, “…change of plans..”. I still have a lot to do to make our house elderly conformable. Last time she fell twice….not my fault, she doesn’t like we make her go outside to smoke. She tripped on the mat outside the door. I’m leaving it there this year. She just needs to watch her step. After she said she stepped on the heel of her own shoe….
that mat keeps a lot dog stuff, grass, dirt, etc. out of the house. IDK…we shall see…Can someone turn off DH’s spending spree…? Good grief! I swear I can’t tell him we have $1 to spend and he will spend it….

@mommato3boys, very grateful the fires didn’t get too close. Prayers answered! I was very concerned. Our wild fires are unpredictable …very concerning. Congratulations on the new job, May it be everything you want and need.

Today, kinda took it sort of easy. After clearing & cleaning the shed, cleaned & cleared out my art desk and under it, cleared out several things from under my bed storage, vac sealed jarred dried goods, mowed the lawn, fixed the sprinkler hose I ran over with the mower. Washed several loads, emptied ‘mom’s’ dresser, got her heating blanket out, still need to wash & fold up the blankets I have been using, DH got her FireStick working, said I messed it up by asking Alexis to find “Golden Girls” for her….the system went crazy, so he had to fix it. Told me “do not use voice control.” So, why is it an option?!? Stupid TV….Last time she was here, she asked me to find something, I used the voice button, it brought up nothing similar to what I asked, so I pushed the voice button and said “stupid Tv”. It turned the TV off, 3 times!
And I still need to clear space in my closet for MIL. DH had a great idea, I will see if I can make it happen…All my clothes are in my office/spare/MIL’s room…. You can imagine…….
Sourdough…. Lol…it will not starve to death…BTDT…a 1/2” of hooch….for a week! I’m so bad. Soooo, I shared 1/2 cup of starter with my neighbor. She loves sourdough bread. I told her how to feed it, how to keep it in a warmer place, her house is rather cool, she sent me pics, asking if it was normal. Yup….
Then, two days ago, I got a text, “What did I do?!??”
I told her, you fed “Betsy” she grew, it’s ready to make bread. Lol.
My Beasty had 1/2” of hooch, poured it off, fed it and got this…
Need to make bread again…. Any suggestions how to get heights instead of width? Mine rises nicely but after baking, it seems to flatten out. IDK, still working on it.

Home safely, with MIL…
And
She’s watching TV, DH is surfing the net & I was sitting outside in fresh air, looking at the bright, almost full moon, shining through & around the clouds. (Except for coming in to post an update.) Praise God, we only had 1/2 the trip with heavy, hard winds in our face. East winds as we were going west. (Mpg dropped from 25.9 to 24.1) Tomorrow’s forecast for TX, was 60-70 mph winds, in NM into TX, with massive dust storms predicted, so, we left today instead of tomorrow.
I’m going back outside, sit on my porch swing, and meditate on thanking God for bringing us home safely…………………….
