We generally don't eat hot dogs but I can't resist a good deal. Sav-A-Lot has Eckrich hot dogs for 50 cents a pack of 10. I stocked up and put alot of them in the freezer. At that price it even makes a good treat for the dogs!

I got a free little table leftover from a garage sale. It is cute from the 1930's with an enamel top.

DIL wanted to know how I made my slaw. I gave her the recipe and she had never grated cabbage. I couldn't believe she had never seen cabbage shredded at home. She thought you had to buy it in a bag. She had never noticed the whole heads before. Momo had to bite her tongue.

A word of warning..alot of outboard boat motors and other small engines(weed eaters, lawn mowers) can be damaged by gas with ethanol in it. To prevent damage buy ethanol free gas which is a little bit more expensive but won't cause problems.

We live in a big boating area and I know from personal experience, several folks who have had expensive repairs on their boats after using ethanol.

Our neighbors blueberries are usually ready around the 4th of July. Due to the dry weather they didn't have any at that time. After our recent heavy rain we FINALLY got a bunch on Saturday. I made DH blueberry pancakes for breakfast today and it was sooo good!

DH is now out collecting cans on the side of the road to get up some gas money!

Hopefully we'll make it this year.

I have noticed that coupons have expiration dates that are getting shorter and shorter. I remember when most weren't even dated. Now it seems like most are only good for about a month. I wish they didn't expire so soon.

I got weighed and I picked up a few pounds. I'm pretty sure it's from the Dr. changing my meds cuz that's the only thing that's changed. I am so frustrated but I need to take the meds.

Our local 7-11 type store gives away outdated cakes/sweets for free.

If the product is dated to expire today or tomorrow they save them in a special spot for their regular customers to have for free. Apparently the vendor doesn't want old product back. See if your store has such a policy. It keeps DH in goodie heaven for free.

I go to Cullman occasionally. It is a small scenic town founded by Germans a little over 100 years ago. Glencoe is just a few miles away from Cullman.

I have a friend who has a Jeep without any doors. I am teasing him that I can put squash in it at any time since he can't lock it. LOL

I got weighed and I had gained a few pounds. I don't know why. Dog gone it!

We are squashed out too. My freezer is full already too.

We have corn, tomatoes, green peppers and squash coming out of our ears. My freezer is full already. My friends are even locking their cars to prevent squash donations.

There was a great coupon in yesterdays paper for a free 50 pound bag of DuMor feed at Tractor Supply. All you have to do is bring the coupon and an old feed bag from another brand. DH had no hassles at all using the coupon. Pony (Fabio) was happy to try a new brand too!

For that price I wonder if you could grind it up and put it in your meatloaf

I have an old version of the program but I never could get the hang of it either! I am computer challenged though.

You might want to see if you have a local genealogical computing club in your area. We have a very active one here with alot of puter geeks in it. They love to help out.

I actually lost a few pounds last week. I am now down a total of 45 pounds from my all time high 2 years ago. I wish I could be more mobile but I am still having health problems. Soon...I hope!

Yesterday was a big haul. Lots of cucumbers, raspberries, onions, corn and another 20 squash!

We had our first corn of the year last night! Nothing is as good as the first batch of home grown corn! DH ate 6 ears!

I just have to make the most out of the good days.

Two weeks ago I was in pretty bad shape. I am so much better today...If it could only be consistant.

This morning I picked enough raspberries for a large bowl of luscious fruit! Nice and naturally sweet.

I picked about 30 squash yesterday and gave most of it away. My freezer is already pretty full of squash!
