  2. I am so glad that you are all having success. smile.gif

I agree, Midnightmom, you should either have a daily post, or each one of you make your own post and keep it up daily. smile.gif That is what we did before. smile.gif This way we are all able to see your success. Please keep us up dated on how things are going.

Just sorry that I am not, at this time, able to join you on this diet. frown.gif

Also, am glad to see you post what you have eaten each day. It will give everyone an idea, and will help others of us too. smile.gif

  3. Reci and others, Fran and I had discussed having this some time ago. Then Fran asked Darlene about it and she allowed us to do it. smile.gif

We are happy to be here and will help anyone who we can.

Genealogy has been in my blood for soooo many years now. smile.gif I just wish we could find some of the connections we need. But, I won't give up, some day we will find it.

If anyone has questions, please ask. We can't help you if we don't know what you need.

Be sure to register for the new letter here, as I plan to have a few lessons in there. The fist lesson will, I think, be in the next letter. smile.gif Not sure just how many lessons there will be, but I know there will be several. smile.gif

  4. Becca, I hope you are able to take the classes this fall. They do a great job of teaching at those. smile.gif I learned to make t-shirts at one of those classes, and made everyone in the family t-shirts.

I have had a sewing machine avalible to me all my life. My mother had one when I was home. I didn't do a lot on it, just a little. I took 'Home Ec', in school, every year I could. smile.gif

I have had the one I have now for about 8 - 9 years now. I have made and have made several of the quilts on it along with curtains for some of our windows. Our dining room and living room is just one room with two windows. About 7 years ago, I was able to get some nice material for only $1.00 a yard. I took all they had. smile.gif I made curtains for both large windows, picture and then another window with the material. Then, later, I was able to find something I liked for our bedroom so made the curtains for that room too. smile.gif

Will try to keep things rolling. smile.gif Everyone will just have to let me know what they are looking for. Also, everyone needs to help, as I am no way an expert.

I've been trying to get ahead of MM, and now I think I may have. smile.gif

  5. Cookie, I am wondering if this is a rerun you are seeing. As they had it on earlier this year, in April or May. I watched it then, but didn't know it was on again. frown.gif What day is it on this time? Also, what time?

  6. Right now, I don't think I would want any chickens in my house. smile.gif I have 2 dogs and they are more than enough.

I do know that we did have baby chicks in our basement many years ago for about 2 weeks, until we could get a place for them outside. From the basement, they were put in the garage and then we did get something else outside so they went out. smile.gif

When we had goats, we did bring one in for a few days as the mother wouldn't accept it.

Ginger, I hope your DD gets a nice big Blue Ribbon. smile.gif

  7. Fran has been under the weather, (flu), since she got home. frown.gif She called me on the phone a couple times. We also talked yesterday for a few minutes on Yahoo. She should be feeling better today though, at least I hope she is.

I will let her tell you all about her trip. smile.gif

  8. Great to hear from you again, Homey. smile.gif

Wow, that is a lot of rain. Must be hard to do anything when it is like that. Glad you have gotten your letter writting cought up though. smile.gif That is something I don't do much of. Just do more e-mailing. smile.gif

Sorry about your garden, hope things go better now.

  9. ((((((Karla))))))

You can rant and rave all you want to here, we will all listen.

I know what you mean about noise, I don't like a lot of it eather. frown.gif The neighbor turns his radio on and the base on full, I call and tell them to turn it down.

But to have it go on for months like this, that is just terrible.

The heat, has been bad all over I think. Do you have A/C on? That should help some with the dust I would think.

I was so in hopes that your arm would be much better by now. I will continue to pray for you. Hope things get better soon.

Now, for the BBQ, lets see, veggies and chips, with dips. Also a tray of fresh fruits too. smile.gif

  10. Good morning and welcome to Mrs. S. JuneBug. Nice to meet you.

Since it is morning, I brought in some muffins and coffeecake to start the day with. smile.gif

DH and I have been married almost 40 years now. We have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Some are in TX and some a bit closer. We don't get to see them as much as we would like. But that is the way it goes when children grow up and move away.

Then, we have 2 dogs who think they are people. They are really to big to be house dogs, but that is another story. They were born in Dec. so couldn't leave them outside.

  11. Good morning, and welcome to Mrs. S. Carla, it is good that you found us again. smile.gif

Looking forward to seeing you post. smile.gif

DH and I will be married 40 years in September, we have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. We have 2 dogs who think they are people. smile.gif

I've brought in some nice warm muffins and coffeecake to start the day with. smile.gif

  12. I don't know how much we got, but the sun came out and then it was raining again before late afternoon.

It rained off and on all night, but has stopped for a while. smile.gif

We have needed this rain as our soil is mostly sand so the water is here one minute and gone the next, unless we get a downpour. smile.gif

  13. Thank you Westbrook for the information on our dogs. smile.gif I hadn't seen that kind mentioned before. I know what a Great Pyrenees looks like, so I have kind of an idea what yours look like. smile.gif

With rain these past two nights, there has been no visitor. Wheather the pepper did the trick, or the rain is putting them off, I don't know. I hope it was the pepper. smile.gif

Boy Cat, one just never knows what to do about these unwanted visitors do we. I know the hot stuff would work for stopping a dog getting into the eggs.

We will see what happens tonight, if it doesn't rain, I'll let you know what happens tomorrow. smile.gif

  14. Lois, I will be praying for you mom.

I have a pace maker, and it works great. smile.gif

I am sure the two working together will do what is needed for your mom, or they wouldn't have suggested it.

There may come a day that I will have to have my pace maker replaced with the combination, but I hope it is a long way off.
