  1. Thought I should put that in here. Just so we could all review it and so anyone new who wanted to add miles would know how. smile.gif

Ok, let me see if I can remember all the rules.

Walking or riding a bike, miles are as done.

Going up and down stairs 12 times is one mile.

Gardening, house cleaning, shopping, etc., are 1 mile per hour.

Mowing or raking lawn, 1 hour is 3 miles.

Lefting weights, and other exercise, 1 hour, is 1 mile.

Did I miss something, if I did, let us know.

    Hope this helps.

  2. You are so right, Westbrook, fresh veggies and fruit that you have grown is the best. We don't have a garden any more, but at one time we had a hugh one. I canned and canned veggies and froze others. smile.gif

I do have to agree, that something must have gotten into the berry patch. wink.gif The kids should have shared with you though. smile.gif

  3. Good morning again lowlander. Nice to meet you and hope to see you post a lot. smile.gif

I am from Minnesota, and have 3 adult children and 7 grandchildren. Two dogs who think they are people. Been married almost 40 years, will be in September.

Yes, MM is right, the Sun Porch is a great place for parties. smile.gif

  4. We had our rain yesterday too, about a 2 minute rain. Not enough to do any good. frown.gif Almost enough to say it rained, and we could really use a rain. If it rained, maybe it would help with the humidity. It is really bad out there today. Feels like about 110 humidity. wink.gif

Not sure what the high was for yesterday, but the A/C ran most of the day and night again. Also had the fans on all over the house.

Just give us a few months, and we will all be complaining about the cold. smile.gif Well, up here we will be. smile.gif

  6. Here are a few places you can get charts.

    http://broadcasting.byu.edu/ancestors/charts/

This first one has a few new charts that I haven't seen in the past.

To use these charts, you will need to download and configure Adobe Acrobat Reader, if you don't already have it installed. You can get Acrobat Reader for free at Adobe's website, and the site is listed there. smile.gif

Here is another site you can go to and get charts. It has a lot of other information at this site too.

    http://www.lacrosselibrary.org/BeginGene.htm

Here is the one from Ancestry, these seem to be some of the best. smile.gif

    http://www.ancestry.com/save/charts/ancchart.htm

Here again you need the Acrobat Reader to download these.

Just thought I would put these back on so those who are just getting started would have a way to make charts and not have to buy them. smile.gif

    Hope this helps someone.
