Up here in our little town we still hear things like-
Oh you want to go there?
OK go out on 31 for a bit until you get to the last light going out of town, then turn by the old feed store. When you get the the place with the cows go right and then look for the farm for sale. Turn left and go over the one lane bridge then make a right. just past the Nelson's place turn right and go on until you past the red barn and make another right and there you go...........
Oh by the way good luck.

WHAT IT MEANS!

OK how do you know you are at the last light unless you go passed it and find no more stoplights?
And the feed store closed 15 years ago and is now a warehouse.
Are the cows OUT? if not it is just a field.
The Farm sold and the new owers took down the old barn so now it just looks like a house in the country.
Sure hope Nelson's have a sign out front.
Is the barn still red? it is still up? rofl

Over the years I have beeen giving directions like this and one time someone said to just look for her husbands new red pickup out front. WEll knowing there would be some cars in the driveway he went and put it in the garage ,not telling her what he did. After driving up and down the block a few times we found the house.
The best one was- just turn where they took down the old building on the corner. wink
