Simplegirl
We have a few of the popcorn tins from gifts we got this year. Would they be acceptable for storing whole grains? I don't want to have to go out and buy something else for storage if these wil do. Link to comment
CrabGrassAcres
Those should work fine. You might still want to use mylar bags with O2 absorbers IF these are to be used for long term storage. If you will be using the grains within a couple of yrs, just put the grains in the freezer for a couple of weeks first. Link to comment
Simplegirl
Thanks! I thought that since the lids fit tightly they would be fine. Link to comment
pauline
yes , freeze it first then place in cans for longer term storage i like to run a strip of duct tape around the lid after it is on the can also keeps lids on if cans get knocked over accidently while kids are playing games in the basement here Link to comment
